UTTARAKASHI
This district of Uttarakhand has the originating sites of the River Ganga and Yamuna and is situated on the heights of Himalayas. Uttarakashi has many temples and is known for tourism mainly by Hindus. Uttarkashi, the headquarters of the eponymous district, is an ancient land with rich cultural heritage and a picture-postcard-like appeal with sweeping mountain views.
